This time around its summer vacation and Greg has a plan to stay at home playing video games all day, but his dad has other plans. In an attempt to escape some father/son time Greg pretends he has a summer job at a swanky country club; things soon change when Holly the high school heart throb starts going to the country club, however.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days has many fun moments to keep both kids and adults laughing: the story stays strong throughout focusing on the relationship between Greg and his father, while always including the rest of the popular characters – including the introduction of a new member of the family, Sweetie. Fans of the previous instalments won’t be disappointed by the latest instalment as Dog Days will certainly keep the diary going for a many more chapters.
