It’s the final day of London 2012, but there’s still time to add to the medal tally.
08:00: Modern Pentathlon (Women’s) – Fencing: Samantha Murray and Mhairi Spence represent GB in the opening event.
11:00: Athletics (Men’s Marathon): Lee Merrien and Scott Overall run for GB.
12:35: Modern Pentathlon (Women’s) – Swimming: Samantha Murray and Mhairi Spence compete in the second event of the Pentathlon.
13:30: Cycling (Mountain Biking): Liam Killeen goes into his third Olympics hoping to win a medal, after crashes in 2004 and 2008 cost him a place on the podium.
14:15: Boxing (Welterweight): Welshman Freddie Evans has made it through to the final, where he faces Kazakhstan’s Serik Sapiyev.
15:15: Boxing (Super Heavyweight): GB’s Anthony Joshua has battled his way through to the final, with only Italy’s Roberto Cammarelle between him and gold.
14:35: Modern Pentathlon (Women’s) – Riding: Samantha Murray and Mhairi Spence go into the third stage of the Pentathlon.
18:00: Modern Pentathlon (Women’s) – Combined Event: Final event in the Pentathlon, which may decide whether Samantha Murray and Mhairi Spence get medals.
19:30: Olympic Closing Ceremony in the Olympic Stadium. The ceremony is dubbed ‘A Symphony of British Music’ and features The Who, Take That, Kate Bush and, supposedly, the Spice Girls. There’ll also be the traditional handover to Rio de Janiero, hosts of the next games.
