Lionhearts v Wolfhounds
Pin ItFollowing an electrifying victory against Scotland in June, England Lionhearts will be in high spirits going into the next match-up against Ireland Wolfhounds. Triumph against the Irish in Hemel Hempstead could mean the Lionhearts challenge Wales for the Amateur Four Nations on Saturday 6 August in Caerphilly.
The Lionhearts appear to be favourites against Ireland Wolfhounds. In their opening match Ireland Wolfhounds suffered a heavy defeat to Wales, losing 54-22 last weekend. Clearly they will not want a repeat story, when they face England on Saturday.
…the clash with Ireland looks to be a rousing battle.
They will need to be prepared going into this clash, as Lionhearts’ coach renames the same 18 man squad which beat reigning champions Scotland 30-22 at Stanningley ARLFC three weeks ago. This includes stand off Sam Broadbent, hooker Scott Holder and the man of the moment Rob Massam, who scored a brace in the opener. With the stakes so high for the Lionhearts, the clash with Ireland looks to be a rousing battle.

good luck to the lionhearts 2day,they have a class act at fullback. He hardly makes any mistakes and goes for all the gaps.He took good advice from former Scotland prop George Graham and former Carlisle player Mark Gibson.

A very poor display by the lionhearts at Hemel,The team turned up in dribs and drabs,but the Irish turned up alltogether in a team coach.This has to be changed,it was very badly organised.If the game is on a saturday they should meet on thursday,train and team tactics on friday,So cum on Paul get yer act together,these games are internationals.ps get sponsered.By the way not all the lionhearts were poor,Gregg Newlands played his heart out.
