The Aesthetica Creative Works Annual contains the best of more than four thousand entries to the Creative Works Competition, spanning art, photography, poetry and short fiction. Aesthetica’s niche is visual art, and there is some brilliant artwork on display here, including a stunning winning piece by Marcus Antonius Jansen. Unfortunately, the poetry and short stories are not quite as good, and are printed in miserly fonts. If you are looking for a good read, there are better literary journals out there, but if you want to browse some beautiful art, then the Annual is well worth the cover price.

The Aesthetica Creative Works Competition is now open; the deadline is 31st August 2011.

Released: December 2010

RRP: £ 7.95
