Hello budding arts practicioners of the future! I thought I should draw your attention to a great new opportunity at ICA. The multi-disciplinary arts centre has long been a friend to students with its cheap and boozy nights of art and music in the bar. But now the Institute of Contemporary Art is hoping to offer a helpful springboard into the arts sector for talented students.

The ICA Student Forum will offer students the opportunity to shape and develop a public programme of events that tie in with the gallery’s own exhibitions, films and performances. Students will be offered the opportunity to work closely with ICA staff and interact with contemporary art practitioners.

…explore new critical thinking around contemporary practice…

The honourable aims of the Student Forum are to encrouage an engagement between the ICA and emerging young practicioners; to explore new critical thinking around contemporary practice; and to formulate new ideas and theories in response to the ICA’s programme.

The opportunity will be offered to approximately 10-15 new participants. And is open to those with a range of interests and creative disciplines, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

If you’d like to get involved, read more here.

And if you’re one of the lucky selected then get in touch – I’d love to hear how it goes!
