A human skull covered in chequered squares, sunken sockets staring eerily out at the viewer, ragged teeth in full view. This is the face of the Gabriel Orozco exhibition and it is as powerful in its actuality as it is in the photograph. ‘Black Kites’ sits in a podium surrounded by glass and one is struck by the power of its presence; small, unimposing, yet holds such a strong message of the brevity of life. Orozco plays with the ephemeral, captures fleeting moments, recording them with photographs: ‘time capsules.’ He balances wit with the poetic and finds beauty within the unexpected, his exhibition is a thoroughly enjoyable cacophony of materials and themes.

Exhibition runs until 25th April.
