The temperature has been in double figures for about two weeks now (don’t jinx it!) but the announcement of the Somerset House Summer Series lineup makes it seem like summer is mere days away. If you’ve never been to this beautiful London landmark for one of their summer special events, this might just be the year to go. Somerset House organisers have done it again, with an eclectic mix of performers set to wow crowds come rain or shine this July.

Highlights include Kelis, whose album Food is set to be one of the best of 2014, Chvrches, whose live performances have been lauded as much as their raw talent, and Daughter, a stunning live act with sublime music to match. Franz Ferdinand return to the UK after a pair of Roundhouse dates last month to play the legendary venue, as well as the ever-fascinating Little Dragon. Completing the line-up are BRIT darlings Sam Smith and Bastille, Clean Bandit, festival favourites The Cat Empire, Kodaline and Danish import Agnes Obel.

Tickets went on sale last Friday priced at £28.50 each (+ booking fees) and already a couple of the artists are sold out. The early bird and all. If you’ve missed out on your favourite act, keep an eye open for the soon-to-be-announced Film4 series at Somerset House, another very fun event that really makes the most of this beautiful.
