An era had just ended…

I remember, as if it were yesterday, the day that my little sister, a family friend and I were sat round in the half light honing our skills on Mario Cart when Oliver, the oldest (at a ripe age of thirteen) and thus the wisest, entered our den of wires, turned off the console with a sad click, and announced that videogames were no longer cool and us adolescents should take up a new pastime. We looked at each other with sombre understanding…
