Because of my profession (actor) I regularly check out arts and film related sites.

Kickstarter was shown to me by a friend and the premise is a great one. Basically if you want to get a project off the ground then you set up a page to explain why people you don’t know should give you money. You place target, rewards for donating, images, videos and as much promo material as possible and a large community will either give you the money or not.

It’s a fun gamble and it’s great to see what gets funded and what doesn’t. Recently Bjork tried to fund her latest album to little success, whereas a smaller project could get 300% of its needed budget.

So for your enjoyment here are 3 of the coolest kickstarter projects (in my opinion) running right now:

Can I just say what a relief to uncover an individual who
genuinely understands what they are talking about on the net.
You certainly know how to bring a problem to light and make
it important. More people really need to check this out and understand this side of the story.
I can’t believe you aren’t more popular because you most certainly have the gift.
