As we are faced with drastic cuts to government funding of Humanities in universities, the value of the subject is automatically questioned.

If there are little jobs waiting for graduates in Humanities, and if the resources are reduced, then why continue studying such subjects? Now that I am reaching the end of my undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature, I am forced to ask myself what I gained from it, and where it will take me. I have come to realise how important these subjects…
