While a new swarm of students are starting at university very soon, for a large amount of people they are in the big bad world of employment. University is great for teaching certain life lessons, but the one thing they don’t really tell you is how alone you will be once you have graduated.

The big bad world is pretty big and bad. You find yourself with a degree, but in competition with literally thousands of other graduates, and those already out there in the job pool.

There are lots of ways to get into a company, but the best way to work your way up is through an apprenticeship. The government are running a nifty scheme that helps graduates to get into large companies and move up the ranks. It’s quite impressive as most companies would promote internally.

Check out the worthwhile videos of apprenticeships happening on the scheme and see if it’s for you over at http://www.apprenticeships.gov.uk/.
