Mario Balotelli. You either love him or you hate him. His name is always in the news, either for good or bad reasons.

Balotelli’s recent controversy involving manager Roberto Mancini has had some fans calling for the strikers exit but is selling him the right thing for Manchester City to do?

Since his arrival at City, Balotelli has been involved in controversy one way or another. Either on the pitch or off it. Whether its fighting teammates, throwing darts at youth team players or setting fireworks in his own house, Mario Balotelli has been through it all and still only 22 years old his ability is second to none and just as last year proved he can greatly affect how well Manchester City do this year.

…he can score goals…

When Mario’s not embroiled in controversy, he can score goals, change games and win games for his team. His pace, strength and technical ability has the potential to make him a consistent world class striker. Balotelli added 17 goals in 32 games in all competitions for Manchester City as they won their first title in 47 years. His final play of the year resulted in a assist for Sergio Aguero‘s winner on the final day against QPR.

Even after Thursday’s training session incident, Mancini spoke in favour of Balotelli: ‘I will give him another one hundred chances if it is possible. I think that he can change because I am here for this. I give him other chances, for sure’. Mancini’s faith in his fellow Italian can only boost Balotelli’s confidence and help the striker back to doing what Mario Balotelli does best: score goals.

…muscle flex celebration…

Only time will tell if and when.

The return of the muscle flex celebration wouldn’t go amiss either.
