It was an interesting week in the WWE coming after the effects from Survivor Series. The Shield continued to make their presence known and this week was no different at the end of Monday Night Raw as they appeared during CM Punk’s non-title win over Kane. WWE Champion Punk got the pinfall on the Big Red Machine with the GTS and then they targeted the ring and proceeded to attack Kane. The group which consists of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns say they want to make things right in WWE again by using the motto “the shield from injustice”.

The opening bout saw Ryback defeat Titus O’Neil from the Prime Time Players and straight after the match he demanded a WWE title shot. General Manager Vickie Guerrero made the match official and CM Punk will defend his WWE Championship against Ryback at the Tables, Ladder and Chairs PPV (pay-per-view) on Sunday 16 December.

It was a great way to kick-off Friday Night Smackdown this week with John Cena defeating Alberto Del Rio in an impressive match. Del Rio was on the attack at the very end until Cena hit a flying leg drop from the top turnbuckle to grab the 123. After the match whilst John Cena was celebrating his victory, his rival of the past month, Dolph Ziggler, attacked him with his money in the bank briefcase.

…the texas cloverleaf submission hold…

Tag Team Champions Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) along with Kofi Kingston defeated the Prime Time Players (Titus O’Neal and Darren Young) and Wade Barrett in a six-man tag team match with Bryan making Darren Young submit to his no-lock hold.  This was also build up for the Intercontinental title match in two weeks between champion Kingston and Barrett.

World Heavyweight Champion Big Show interfered in the last match of the night between Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior had the match won when he put Ziggler in the texas cloverleaf submission hold until Big Show got involved and ended the match in a Disqualification. The champion and Dolph Ziggler continued the beat down on Sheamus until John Cena made his way down to the ring area. He got revenge on Ziggler from early on in the show with his attitude adjustment finisher and then he and Sheamus proceeded to double team the 500 pound Big Show.

…up their sleeve…

What will unfold next week in regards to the Ziggler/Cena feud? What does The Shield have up their sleeve on Raw and are they working for WWE Champion CM Punk? We will find out on Monday and Friday night.
