On Monday Night Raw, one of the focus points was involving WWE Champion CM Punk along with Paul Heyman.
This is due to a knee injury which cost him a place on the Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV card where he was supposed to defend his championship against Ryback. Punk addressed the crowd by announcing in his arrogant tone that his injury is 100% legitimate and that he will be ready for the potential match with The Rock next month at the Royal Rumble.
The Shield attacked John Cena during his match with World Heavyweight Champion Big Show. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose continued causing havoc until Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) and Ryback came to the ring to make things even. It ended up turning into an all-out brawl between all the rivals at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs event with Dolph Ziggler and Big Show’s challenger Sheamus all entering the fray.
…injustice will be served to their rivals…
Friday Night Smackdown again saw World Champion Big Show and Sheamus in action against R-Truth and Antonio Cesaro respectively. The largest athlete in WWE, Big Show wanted the World Championship match called off due to the no contact clause set in place by Smackdown’s General Manager Booker T. Due to thinking that he thought Sheamus had broken the terms made by the GM, it came to no avail and the bout still took place on Sunday.
The Shield also made their presence known by attacking “the viper” Randy Orton and then later on appeared during a segment with The Miz on “Miz TV” which also involved opponents at TLC Kane and Daniel Bryan. They stated that injustice will be served to their rivals in the build-up to their huge match two days later.
…continued their dominance…
WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs proved to be a strong show being the last Pay per View (PPV) of 2012 and it ended with an intriguing main event between John Cena and Dolph Ziggler to cap off a wild night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Cena failed to win the Money in the Bank briefcase from Ziggler due to A.J. Lee costing him the match in a surprise turn of events. Big Show retained his World Title against Sheamus in a chairs match and The Shield continued their dominance in WWE beating Team Hell No and Ryback in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.
Alll the hype now will be pushed towards the 26th annual Royal Rumble where The Rock returns for his first championship match in over 10 years to face WWE Champion CM Punk on 27th January at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
