I have always thought nothing could ever be better than a ski holiday or a music festival, especially when you decided to go with your friends, but now I know I was wrong all along.
Horizon Festival, now in its second year, combines a ski holiday with a winter music festival, making it a perfect destination for people who want to be able to afford and experience both things. Taking place in Bansko, a famous ski resort in southwestern Bulgaria, from the 8 to the 14 March 2014, it offers a wide range of activities, both for skiers and non.
With prices starting at £279 per person for 6 nights’ accommodation with pool or spa use, 5-day ski pass that gives you access to the whole mountain and entry to more than 30 parties both during the day and the night, it also includes free yoga classes in the morning. Packages for non-skiers start at £199 and include everything but the ski pass.
…join professional snowboarders and skiers on the snow park for demonstrations…
While non-skiers can enjoy parties with great electronic music – artists such as Kerri Chandler and dBridge have already announced their presence – people who want to improve their skiing technique can now enjoy ‘Ride With The Pros’ sessions: for only £20 you will be able to join professional snowboarders and skiers on the snow park for demonstrations followed by tricks and tips sessions.
A spa package can also be added to the basic package: for £69 more, festival goers can enjoy three one-hour treatments across four days at the Gardenia Hotel, a 4-star hotel in the heart of Bansko, and return home revitalised and refreshed.
With more than 30 parties and a 5-day ski pass on the agenda, it is not hard to guess that a lot of people might need it.
